New Camera

I just got a new camera. I was wondering why my pictures weren't turning out as clear as I wanted them too. Now I know. We got our digital camera a couple years ago when digital cameras were still fairly new. It is only a 2 megapixel camera. I just got our new one, which is much smaller and more compact, with a larger screen and it is 8 megapixels. So much clearer! I am very happy with my purchase. It is a Cannon Powershot. Love it so far!
Above is a picture I took while experimenting with it. It seems the pics appear clearer when they are larger, but downloading to the computer, I am still trying to find the trick to get them to downsize and still be clear. Let me know if you know the trick. :)

Great friends!

It was our friend Tami's birthday and we all went out to dinner to celebrate with her. It is so great to have such good friends here in our ward! We enjoy going out and spending time with them. Our friends there that night were the Daytons (McKay & Christine), the Huntsmans (Carl & Tami), and the Eckersleys (Brent & Jen). It was Tami Huntsman's birthday (pictured just above with her husband Carl). Happy Birthday Tami!
We love all you guys! Thanks for being such awesome friends!

"The Block"

The New Kids On The Block release their new cd "The Block" tomorrow 9/2! I managed to track down the new songs on my playlist and now have them playing on this site. They definitely sound different then their old songs. If you heard some of them on the radio, you probably wouldn't know it was New Kids On the Block. Their concert tour starts Sept 18th in Canada. I am so excited to see what they do with this one. One more month countdown until they are in Vegas. :)

Twilight Series

Some of my friends have been talking about these books for quite some time. But as always, I put off "getting into the hype". I did the same thing with the Lost Series on tv and blogging......I don't want to get into it just because everyone else is...so I put it off. But when I finally give in....you better watch out. These books are my most recent find. The Coronado ward girls have been talking about them for a LONG time. I was not interested. Then recently, a friend from my ward brought one to the gym and was talking about it. I went out and bought the first two, Twilight and New Moon that evening. Now a week later, and I have finished both of them! I can't explain what they are about because it is impossible to make them sound as good as they are. You just have to read them! They are actually making a movie of the first one this winter. I am excited to see what they do with the characters on screen and the story line.
Currently there are 4 books out and I am going to pick up the last two, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, tonight. I can't imagine what else the author will do with the story line. They are definitely page turners!

2008 Summer Olympics

I don't know about you...but my schedule has been totally whacked since the Olympics started! I have been glued to the tv every night watching to see what happened that day. Above and below are some of my favorite moments. Michael Phelps was amazing to watch and I never missed his races! Of course the two most exciting races where the relay where Lezak came from behind to win the race, and the 100 Butterfly where Phelps did the same by a finger touch. I also really enjoyed the Mens and Womens Gymnastics! Every time the Olympics happen, I am amazed how all the countries come together. It is just an amazing feeling. It's a bummer when they end.

Afternoon together!

Today Chuck was home and we took Abby to lunch just the three of us. We missed Dillon, but it was a chance to spend some time with just Abby. We took her to Mimi's cafe and she really enjoyed it. It was fun!

Abby's vacation

Two weeks ago, Abby got to take a vacation to visit my mom in Utah. My inlaws were going up to visit family and took Abby with them. They met up with my mom and she took Abby home with her for the weekend. Abby had so much fun! I added a slideshow of pics from the trip on Abby's page.
